I am under my truck right now cleaning off the transmission. My dad's coming home from work early to help me go get my license. Between me being sick, my parents being sick and school I'm finally getting it done. But I just looked at the shifter from underneath. It looks like recently the previous owner installed metal shift rail plugs. So that could be all the fluid Residue I'm seeing on my transmission. Could also be why my transmission is not perfectly quiet, if he drove on that there could be a little bit of damage to the gears. But as of now I don't believe I'm leaking anything.
Here is a view of the shift rail plugs:

There's always the transmission vac, which the Car Guys said may (or may not - depends on your view of urban legends) DESTROY YOUR TRANSMISSION. And what do metal shift rail plugs do?

The original ones were rubber and commonly would shrink and dry up causing leaks. Metal ones don't dry up or shrink, that's all

They were all replaced in September with the clutch. Except the input shaft seal and the rear main seal, those were done in 2012

Clean it up, and check after a while, this is known as "sweating"
